Apple Mac OS X - gtk, Glade air and GTK interface users - DeSmuME DS emulator has introduced some small changes, as we have moved the location for all the configuration files and save state / game save files to /.config/desmume . Files such as. Desmume.ini will move automatically to the new directory, but you must manually copy DeSmuME game save files om Mac OSX.
The emulator its self is in French with user translations to English and other languages. Even if you download the French version of DeSmuME - it is easy to navigate through menus as it has a similar users interface to DSemu. It supports many homebrew nds rom demoes as well as a handful of Wireless Multiboot demo nds roms. DeSmuME is also able to emulate some of the commercial nds rom titles which other DS Emulators like iDeaS and Dualis aren't capable of doing so.
DeSmuME is a small and free Nintendo DS emulator which supports different types of ROMs from the system such as those in GZ, 7Z, GS.GBA and NDS format. The program has different features for customizing your playing experience and can change certain aspects of the emulation like aspect ration, rotation, window size and screen separation parameters.Other things that DeSmuME can do is configure all types of options while emulating a rom like keyboard input, hotkeys, microphone settings, firmware settings and more. After loading a supported ROM file with DeSmuME, the emulation will start just as it does on Nintendo DS devices. Unfortunately the experience won't be the same as running a real handheld console due to hardware constraints with a PC but it does offer some other options not available on the console with screen recording and can also take still screenshots.Overall, DeSmuME doesn't offer the same experience as running your games on a real Nintendo DS console, but it does offer some other options that may be useful, especially for people wishing to upload their game playing to online video services like YouTube.Features of DeSmuMEAudio: Adjustable frequency and volume. Cheats: Code breaker and Action Replay support. Compatibility: Play games from all regions. Debugging: Debugger and Profiler tools. Emulation: High-level emulation of Nintendo DS hardware. Input: Mouse and keyboard support. Multiplayer: Wi-Fi connection and local wireless support. Netplay: Online gaming experience with other players. Recorder: Record and playback of game sessions. Save: Ability to save anywhere in game. Screenshot: Ability to capture screenshots. User Interface: Skinnable, configurable interface. Video: Capture video of game session. Visuals: 3D rendering, anti-aliasing, custom resolutions and textures. Compatibility and LicenseDeSmuME has been released under the open source GPL license on Windows from console emulators. The license provides the options to freely download, install, run and share this program without any restrictions. The source code for DeSmuME should be freely available and modifications are certainly permitted as well as the option to inspect the software.
DeSmuME can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the operating system shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista having been tested. Windows XP is supported. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.Other operating systems: The latest DeSmuME version from 2023 is also available for Mac.
In 0.9.5, the default location for .dsv files changed. Older versions would use the rom directory; and now in Windows it is the directory that the emulator runs from; and in OSX/Linux it is /.config/desmume. In Windows, use the path configuration to point to wherever your .dsv files are or copy them to the new spot. If you've been running into problems with this you can probably verify it by searching for *.dsv on your hard disk and finding duplicates. Be careful when copying files around that you don't overwrite files unintentionally.
(Windows only) For some reason known only to the Man at Microsoft Who Makes Arbitrary Soul-Crushingly Inconvenient Decisions (or possibly to the Department of Goofups), ml.exe was not included in earlier downloads of MSVC++ 2008 Express Edition. Uninstall, redownload and install again. 'ml.exe' shoud be located in the \"Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\\VC\\bin\" directory.
Apple introduced a security policy called Gatekeeper on OS X v10.8 Mountain Lion to help protect users from malware. However, since DeSmuME is a free open-source app, we don't want to invest money into properly code signing the app for the sake of proving that we are legitimate app and not just another piece of malware. If you are concerned about the legitimacy of DeSmuME.app, then always make sure to download it from our official Downloads page.
To play PoP TFS DS on PC, you will need to install an emulator. Currently, the only emulator that is allowed in the rules is DeSmuME 0.9.9. From this link you should download the file titled desmume-0.9.9-win64.zip.
To play PoP TFS DS on PC, you will need to install an emulator. Currently, the only emulator that is allowed in the rules is __[DeSmuME 0.9.9]( )__. From this link you should download the file titled *desmume-0.9.9-win64.zip*.Once you've installed the emulator, as is now required by the rules, you **must** enable *Vsync* if it is not already enabled. Do this by clicking on \"Config\", \"Display Method\", and ensuring that \"Vsync\" is checked. To play the game simply open \"DeSmuME_x64.exe\", then click \"File\", \"Open ROM\" and select your ROM.To customise your controls press \"Config\" then \"Control Config\".I would also recommend that you go into \"Config\" -> \"Hotkey Config\" and disable every hotkey (including the ones in the other categories (i.e. not \"Main\")) to ensure that you do not accidentally (for example) press \"=\" and make the game go faster which would invalidate the run. Some known lag-related issues and fixes:* Setting the sound interpolation option to \"None (harsh, most accurate to NDS)\" is known to help reduce lag.* The game may also lag more if the console is on. To turn it off, go to \"Tools\" -> \"Console\" and uncheck \"Enabled\".* In 3D settings, setting the renderer to \"OpenGL\" may improve performance slightly (and also has better graphics).Note that since nowadays we use the in-game timer your final time will **not** be affected by any of the above lag issues, however you may still want to reduce them to make the game run smoother. If you have any issues with obtaining/installing the emulator/ROM, or starting up the game in general, DM Smathlax#7378 on Discord.

Rather, their Downloads page directs you to their automated builds page (as shown in this picture ). From this page you can download the latest version of DeSmuME. It's weird and confusing, I know. But you must download this 'automated builds' version because there have been significant improvements since v0.9.11.
When you go to download DeSmuME, the first thing you're going to see is two versions: 64-bit and 32-bit. So what is that and which version do you download I won't drown you with technical jargon. In short: these are types of Windows systems. 64-bit is newer and faster, and 32-bit is older and slower. If you have 64-bit Windows, you need to download the 64-bit version of DeSmuME. And vice versa with 32-bit. 59ce067264
