Mathematica is a symbolic mathematical computation program, sometimes called a computer algebra program, used in many scientific, engineering, mathematical, and computing fields. It was conceived by Stephen Wolfram and is developed by Wolfram Research of Champaign, Illinois. The Wolfram Language is the programming language used in Mathematica.
Mathematica (published by Wolfram) is a fully integrated environment for technical computing, combining interactive calculation (both numeric and symbolic), visualization tools, and a complete programming environment. The Mathematica notebook interface provides an interactive technical document format which combines typeset mathematical expressions, formatted text, hypertext, and graphics, as well as fully customizable buttons and palettes. Mathematica also has a communications protocol named MathLink, which allows it to communicate and share data with other programs written in C, C++, and FORTRAN.
Mathematica is also integrated with Wolfram Alpha, an online answer engine that provides additional data, some of which is kept updated in real time, for users who use Mathematica with an internet connection. Some of the data sets include astronomical, chemical, geopolitical, language, biomedical, airplane, and weather data, in addition to mathematical data (such as knots and polyhedra).[49]
Julia has been downloaded over 40 million times and the Julia community has registered over 9,100 Julia packages for community use. These include various mathematical libraries, data manipulation tools, and packages for general purpose computing. In addition to these, you can easily use libraries from Python, R, C/Fortran, C++, and Java. If you do not find what you are looking for, ask on Discourse, or even better, contribute one!

Use the Video Builder tool in Origin to create a video file from Origin graphs. Manually or programmatically add frames to the video from any graph in your project. This animation displays the evolution of data values mapped onto a 3D surface.
As your Origin use expands, you may want to programmatically access existing features in Origin, add your own custom routines and tools, or communicate with Origin from other applications. To facilitate such customizations, Origin provides the following options.
Magma is a large, well-supported software package designed for computations in algebra, number theory, algebraic geometry, and algebraic combinatorics. It provides a mathematically rigorous environment for defining and working with structures such as groups, rings, fields, modules, algebras, schemes, curves, graphs, designs, codes, and many others. Magma also supports a number of databases designed to aid computational research in those areas of mathematics which are algebraic in nature. The overview provides a summary of Magma's main features.
Magma is distributed by the Computational Algebra Group at the University of Sydney. Its development has benefited enormously from contributions made by many members of the mathematical community. We encourage all users to report any bugs they find; regular patch fixes are available from the downloads section.
