India's playing XI for the first T20I vs Ireland (predicted)

Ruturaj Gaikwad

India may be planning to play against their veteran players in the IRE vs IND 1st T20I and then give chance to debutants in the 2nd game. Ruturaj Gaikwad will open the innings for the team in the 1st T20I. During the recent T20I series against South Africa, the right-handed batsman hit 96 runs in 5 games. He scored a good knock of 54 in one game.

Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan will be the other opener for the team in IRE vs IND 1st T20I. The Ishan-Ruturaj pair did great as openers in the last series and developed some good opening positions. Kishan was very impressive in the previous series, with 206 runs in 5 innings with an average of 41.20 in 2 half centuries.

Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav could hit the number 3 spot in the IRE vs IND 1st T20I. The right-handed batter will be back on the field after a long time. He was part of IPL 2022 and was ruled out due to injury. Yadav performed well in IPL 2022 hitting 303 runs in just 8 matches averaging 43.29 with 3 half centuries.

Venkatesh Iyer

Venkatesh Iyer could be another batsman in the middle. Iyer didn't play well in IPL 2022, but he has some international experience with his cat. In 9 T20I matches to date, the left-handed batsman has scored 133 runs at an average of 33.25. He also has a reasonable success rate of 162+.

Hardik Pandya (C)

Hardik Pandya is India's skipper in the IRE vs IND T20I series and will lead the team in the opening match. The right-handed batsman performed well in the previous series, hitting 117 runs in 4 innings for a 58.50 average. He delivered rapid-fire kills with a blow rate of 153+.

Dinesh Karthik (WK)

Dinesh Karthik could be a lower-order batsman and the wicketkeeper for the team. In the absence of Rishabh Pant, Karthik will be a better choice as the team's wicketkeeper. The right-handed batter hit 92 in 4 innings in the previous series. Like Pandya, Karthik also scored Quickfire Runs in the Death, hitting with a strike rate of 158+.

Axar Patel

Axar Patel could be an all-rounder for the team in the IRE vs IND 1st T20I. The left-handed batter hit 23 runs in 3 innings in the series IND vs. SA T20I. He also took 3 wickets in 5 games at an average of 35.33. The left spinner had an average of 8.26.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar could be one of the front runners for India in IRE vs IND 1st T20I. The right-arm Pacer grabbed the spotlight in the IND vs. SA Series by winning the Player of the Series award. The right-arm pacer took 6 wickets in 4 innings. His X factor was his economy percentage, as he admits to an economy of only 6.07.

Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel could be another pacesetter for the team in IRE vs IND 1st T20I. The pacesetter on the right has done a good job so far for the team following his international debut. Patel took 7 wickets in the previous series at an average of 12.57 and finished the series as the best wicket taker. He will be a crucial pacesetter for India against Ireland.

Avesh Khan

Avesh Khan could be another pacesetter for the team. Despite failing to take wickets in the first three matches of the previous series, Avesh Khan caught the eyeballs by chasing 4 wickets in the IND vs. SA 4th T20I. With 4 wickets in 5 games, the pacemaker with his right arm averaged 26.25. Khan also had a decent economy of just 7.0.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal will be the spinner for the team in IRE vs IND 1st T20I. Since the team already has two other mid-tempo players in Hardik Pandya and Venkatesh Iyer, choosing a full-time spinner is a good option. The Right Pacer produced a brilliant performance in the previous series, taking 6 wickets in 5 games at an average of 19.33.
